I’ve been putting off getting labwork done for many years…I finally got some included in a free preventative health checkup and am SO PLEASED with the results!
I’ve been doing the low carb thing since 2011. It fixed my reactive non-diabetic hypoglycemia. In mid Feb of this year I started keto and have been pretty strict about it since.
After having high triglycerides back in 2010 when I was on accutane, my triglycerides are now OFF THE CHARTS low at an unbelievable 42.9.
Fasting blood glucose: 81.7
Total cholesterol: 185
HDL: 83.2
LDL: 93.7
Triglycerides: 42.9
I’m not sure how to read the following but the sheet says:
Colesterol VLDL 8.6
Colesterol/HDL 2.2
HDL/Colesterol Total: 0.4
LDL/HDL 1.13
Only thing that seemed a little out of whack was the Eosinophils (at 7.0) but the doc didn’t’ seem to worried about it. He said some normal variation is to be expected with any bloodwork and I could just be having an “off” day or fighting a minor infection.
