Long story short, I’ve been doing Keto for over a year and a couple of months. I’ve lost weight (20-30 lbs.) and I’m at my goal weight. My goal now is to lose more body fat and put on muscle. It’s not a diet anymore, it’s a lifestyle by now. I haven’t had lab tests done in a while and a couple of days ago I decided to get it done. Here’s some results and I wanted to know if there was anything out of the ordinary that stands out?
My doctor suggested to go to a low fat diet (which is opposite of Keto really).

Other:
Sodium: 141 mmol/L
Potassium 4.5 mmol/L

Look brilliant. Doctor idiot. KCKO

You want your TG/HDL ratio to be <2.0. Yours is 45/64 = 0.70. This is the important piece of your tests. My ratio is not at good but is slightly greater than 1.0. My doctor wants me to go vegan. Nope. Not going there. The science does not exist to convince me.

Keep Calm, Keto On (KCKO).

Thanks for your input man! So what can I do to control that or get closer to that ratio?

(Ethan) #5

That’s the thing… you don’t even want it to
be at their ratio. It’s protective and transportive.

You have a good ratio.

Your ratio of triglycerides to HDL is amazing! Congratulations! You are in great shape. :+1:

LDL of 135 used to be considered perfectly healthy, until the statin manufacturers came along. They gained millions of new customers when 130 and above was suddenly made “high LDL.”
