La Carba Nostra: The 10 Companies that Control the Food Industry

Perusing the success stories on this great forum this morning, I was reminded of this infographic by Oxfam showing the 10 companies that control the global food industry.

Together these giants earn over a billion dollars a day because the world is [for us, was] addicted to carbs. Just look at the brands. Sodas, juices, crackers, chips, cookies, candy. Some also own a few low carb ‘healthy’ brands to call upon when they’re accused of making us sick.

Imagine what will happen when the majority catches on to the truth about overeating carbs. Hard to believe we in the forum are not getting death threats. Well whatever offer they make, I’m refusing.

I imagine there will be an adjustment period where relative shortages of healthy fats and proteins make for high prices.

Yes @OldDoug, I’d think some rebalancing of demand and supply will be necessary.

If I were any major meat or dairy producer right now, I’d be hiring a team of content strategists to prepare to lead the “FAT IS HEALTHY!” charge. (Let it be known, I’m available.)
