Kimchi/Saurkraut water on a fast

This is a bit nuts, but I’m trying to do a 10-day fast, and I’m on day 8. Feeling pretty good, but sometimes a bit fatigued. I’m drinking water, bubbly water, black coffee and homemade bone broth, but I have some homemade kimchi (spicy fermented cabbage and veg) in the fridge and thought I’d drink some of the juice. I love the taste.

Obviously this isn’t a ‘pure’ fast, but it’s helping me get through the 10 days without food. Just thought it might help someone else who needs a fasting boost.

I do picklejuice when I feel I need it on a fast. I have even used the brine from olives when I had no pickles available. Gralic dill, not sweet pickle. I make them myself mostly but do grab Claussen’s when I don’t feel like waiting a few days for more pickles.

Report back when you finish the 10 days. Always nice to read people’s experiences with their fasts.
