Exactly! Depending on how “packed” the said ingredient is, 1 cup of an item could result in two very different weights. Lbs, Ounces etc are still ok…at least I can convert those to grams accurately

Same here! I do have some cup measures - but the washing up whenever I’m measuring multiple things! Digital scales and grammes, on the other hand… YEAH BABY!
Short for the Latin word, ‘libra’. The French word for a 500g measure is still ‘livre’, which is kind of nice.
