Keys Syndrome

Hello Ketonians,

I am not much in favor or changing nomenclature as a shifting vernacular does not aid communications, but in my mind’s eye I keep thinking of syndrome X, metabolic syndrome, as “Keys syndrome”. A family of common cause diseases that increases quite dramatically when a population follows Dr. Ansel Keys’ dietary recommendations. Good old Dr. Keys deserves full credit for the harm he has caused.

When infants are born with insulin resistance as of a consequence of developing in the womb of a woman with Keys Syndrome, this should be called Second Hand Keys. When an infant is breast fed in a similar circumstance, this also should be viewed as Second Hand Keys.

The story of how much harm has been done, is being done, to the American people, and the people of the world at large where American dietary guidelines have been widely replicated, is compelling and deserves a great deal of attention. It is perhaps the single greatest instance of medical malpractice in all of human history and yet few have any idea that it has happened, is happening today.

I never had T2D, I had Keys Syndrome, and until recently, my children where eating Second Hand Keys.

I don’t intend this to be overly vindictive, but rather to simply shine a massive spotlight on how this happened so that it never happens again. Millions have died, many millions, and hundreds of millions are currently suffering from Keys Syndrome, he deserves the credit.

Keto for Life!

Warmest Regards,
Richard

Keys Syndrome not to be confused with Keys Disease.

I seem to be afflicted with both…

One of these long weekends I am going to ride my motorcycle to Key West, but I will never think of that trip in the same way again. :palm_tree::palm_tree::palm_tree:
