What I found and have been using right now (but it is WAY out of date and the guy no longer updates it) is IF DIET. It has a plate with a fork and knife on a yellow background with the red letters IF on the plate. Just to give you some idea - his app does inform me when it is time to start fasting and when my fasting ends, but that is about all I use his app for now - the notifications. I would LOVE to use a more detailed app that allows me to track even better as I am not always going into the app to track my fasts like I should. Thanks for listening. You don’t have to take a single idea I shared, but it is SO GREAT to know they were looked at and thought of!
Kevin Rose's new app for fasting- called Zero Fasting Tracker
That is the App that I use! I love it. I think its cool how it takes the average amount of time that you fast per week and shows you the totals at the bottom
I started the June Zorn fast last night and I’m using Vora.
My first impression is that it is very simple. Basically just a timer and a bar chart. Not that that is a bad thing. Simple is good.
My first feature request would be the ability to add notes. Like click on a button and add a note saying “Felt hungry. Drank water with sea salt. Hunger gone.” or something like that.
I’m liking it so far. My last longish fast was 80 hours and I kept having to think about how long I had been fasting. “I started on Tuesday at 6pm and it’s now Thursday at noon, so that’s … umm… 42?” Nice to be able to glance at Vora and see that I’m at 11 hours.
Is this the same Kevin Rose that used to be on The Screen Savers show a long time ago? Co-founder of Digg & Revision3? I was a big fan of his work.
Edit: It is him! https://medium.com/@kevinrose/introducing-zero-a-new-app-to-help-you-fast-209935e8245d/
Just downloaded your app. I did my first fast earlier this week (36 hours). It really worked for me.
I paid for Zero then deleted it - didn’t seem any more useful than my iphone’s stopwatch. I recently downloaded Fast Habit which is also simple, but much more logical and applicable to IF timing. I like it a lot.
