I’ve been strangely in and out of ketosis the last few days. I can’t figure out why. I haven’t eaten anything different: eggs, homemade bone broth, cheese, coconut oil, MCT oil, olive oil in homemade salad (same ones as always), ghee, hemp milk, HWC. However, the meter says that I am LOW sometimes (keto mojo meter). For example, both yesterday and today in the middle of the day I was LOW, but then later in the day, I got back above 0.5. In fact, this evening, the meter read 1.1. What would cause the ketones to go so low? Glucose is not higher than 100 at the times I’ve measured ketones either.

I think your glucose needs to come down. Usually when glucose is low, maybe in the 80s or below, your ketones are nice and high.
Get that glucose down is all I got from experience.

100 for me is low. I don’t drop below that until the afternoon or evening. I’m highly insulin resistant. Besides, the glucose hasn’t been any different than before. I used to have ketones measured consistently above 1.0. Why would it suddenly show unmeasurable and then back to 1.1 a few hours later?

@EZB how do you feel in yourself? Could be your body is just producing less as it’s more efficient as using them?

I haven’t felt terrible, but I did gain some pounds and a little tightness in the gut.
