Anyone use one of these breath meters? I bought one the other day and it’s too soon to list it’s pros and cons, but so far I’m finding it kind of cool. It has a phone app that goes with it so the results show up on the meter and on my phone.

Anyway, when I tested for ketones a few minutes ago the app showed me at 5.1 ppm. It went on to say that I am burning fat at a sub-moderate pace, optimum level being 10 ppm. It also shows that I am burning approximately 0.13 ounces of body fat per hour. I have no clue as to how scientific, validated, or accurate that is, but found it an interesting piece of trivia. But, that means it’s going to take me about 5 days to lose 1 pound. Guess I better get that breathometer reading higher!

I just got one. Are you still using yours? I’m just beginning and was hoping to use it as an indicator of whether my diet is correct. I did blow a high of 21 the other day and I didn’t do anything different other than have some parmesan garlic dip. I’m thinking I confused it with garlic breath. I am usually between 5 and 10.

I don’t think the meter goes as high as 21… you sure it wasn’t 2.1?

If you saw “21” on your meter, then it meant “2.1”.

No, I didn’t pay $149… I believe it was $49.
