Ketos wild weight swings need help

Hello all!! I’m on my second week on in ketosis I have a lot of questions. lost about 8 pounds. Then in a matter of 2 days gained 4 back with out a Change in diet. I’m consuming about 10 net carbs a day.

Is water retribution normal?

As far as bowel movements… I feel like I’m putting in more than I’m putting out.?

Is weight lifting counter productive at this point?

When will these mood swings stop?

I love the diet for the most part and have had little to no cravings for junk food. I feel like a caveman. I want to no how long it has taken your body to normalize from the change in diet/ hormones

You are only 2 weeks in. So your body is likely in Flux mode right now. Weight changes usually stabilize later on. Give it a few more weeks to return to less fluctuations.

The weight scale is tricky and you need to not take the numbers as absolute. If you gain a pound of muscle then you think you gained one pound fat. Your body is smart. Let it do its job. Give it time to build muscle and burn fat. It takes time and patience to do just letting your body do its job and not panic about it.

In the first days of keto, your body got rid of water and glycogen. So you experienced massive loss. But with redistribution, muscle build and other dynamics, the numbers can climb a bit before they go back down, reflecting more fat loss.

Keep calm and keto on. You are only 2 weeks in. Patience…patience.
