Ketonix vs Ketometer

#1

I like the idea of using a breathe analyzer to track ketones and have been tracking my level for 3 weeks with the Ketometer. Looking to hear what other Ketonians think that use one or the other.

Yes, that is the model I’m using, not the Ketronix. I’m averaging between 5.5 and 6.5, (between 5-7 is defined as ketosis). I am measuring in the morning (8-9am) and the evening (7-9pm). Mornings are about 6.3-6.5, but evenings are 5.7-5.9.
I fast Monday to Friday, having 2 protein drinks a day (2gm carbs/drink), then SlowCarb diet on the weekend. Have lost 36lbs since 4/20/17.
What sort of daily readings does the Ketonix provide when someone is in ketosis?

using Vitamin Shoppe Whey Tech Pro24, 24gm protein, 1gm fat, 3gm carb (1fiber,1sugar)
mixing with 1 cup of coffee or unsweetened almond milk (depends on time of day)(sometimes use diet soda), adding 2 tbsp of ground flax meal for xtra fiber.

I’ve been asking those same questions of the “experts”

Working for me! How’s your weight loss?

Real simple, Google “Slow Carb Diet”.

I carbed up once … wanted to gnaw my left leg off above my very arthritic knee.

Never again.

But your mileage may vary. Remember for many people carbohydrates are a slippery slope that they can not get traction on. For them a little carbs deranges them so profoundly that the only way they can get adequate energy is from carbs and all fat is stored.

So while people with still flexible metabolisms can probably follow Durianrider and eat 30 bananas a day and “Carb the fuck up”. The rest of us are like people at an AA meeting who hear someone talking about “just one to take the edge off” … and get all Hulk Smashey.

Great, you can build your own for less than I spent!

When I hear some of the pod casters saying “you have to change it up”, I’m assuming they are referring to what the 2 Keto Dudes mean when they say “feast when you feast”. Am I correct?
