Ketonix breath analyzer

(Peter groth) #1

Hi
I purchase a analyzer a few weeks back
AND had been I.F for approx 18-20 hours per day
Along with a keto diet, whilst the analyzer showed I slowly got deeper into keto it DID fluctuate quite a bit😔this made me a bit suspicious SO I deliberately broke my keto diet and ate crap for a full day
Guess whatā€¼ļø
The bloody analyzer did NOT show that I had been KNOCKED out of ketoā€¼ļøSo a few things here ~

  • either the analyzer is NO good
  • or it’s harder to get out of keto than in
  • or analyzers are JUST a gimmick.
    Has anyone got an answer
    ?

I’m experimenting with ketonix for couple of weeks now and have similar observations. Here’s what I think is happening:
First, if I drink alcohol (beer) the reading is very high (red). I’ve heard that ketonix picks up alcohol in breath and interprets it as ketones. (But also next one may be in play)
Second, when you eat carbs, some bacteria digest in and produce aceton which ketonix picks up. Check section ā€œHow do you explain high values from people eating loads of carbsā€ at https://www.ketonix.com/support-5/how-to-s

Also, if I blow slowly I’m getting higher readouts, if I move around I can see difference sometimes.

I’ve never seen reading of zero. The lowest was blue ar low green. Planning to write to the company to get better explanation.

Right now I interpret it this way:
If you’re in ketosis, then ketonix will show you how deep. If you’re not, then there will be a lot of noise.
