Ketones before you go to sleep?

#1

I have been on the Keto diet for 6-7 weeks. I haven’t been using exogenous ketones much I’m been focused on getting into ketosis through diet. I’m staying right about 1.4 Mmol. was given some keytone salts and was told they were taking them before bed. I wondered how efficient that was for losing weight. Ketones are energy and taking those before I go to bed just seems counterintuitive to trying to lose weight.

I’ve searched and haven’t found anyone talk specifically about this.

I don’t think that consuming exogenous ketones (at any time during the day) will be beneficial for losing weight.

That’s what my first thought was since I couldn’t find anyone online to confirm that thought I should ask.

I think it might make more sense to use exogenous ketones as a pre-workout drink.

I’ve found that I’m sometimes a little sluggish at the beginning of my (mountain bike) rides. I often feel a lot better after I’ve been riding for about an hour. I think the energy boost early on might be worthwhile. I keep meaning to try this, but haven’t yet.

I’ve really only used the exogenous ketones during the first few weeks for that very reason. I had heard stories about the Keto flu so I thought they might help.

Don’t know if it was the ketones or caffeine that it had in it but never really had any problems.
