All 3 of my breathalyzers read about the same when I’m at 0.12 to 0.13% BAC. Below that my Greenwon reads highest, but above that the other two go up much faster. I think these things are highly variable, probably even of the same brand. But mine are pretty consistent in that I get the same pattern at any given level when I use them together.
Yeah, I’m surprised there is that big of a difference between my two breathalyzers. I have 5 of the Greenwons (Amazon had a crazy deal). I’ve only tried 2 of them, but they both read the same, while my other one consistently reads much higher.
After yoga today, 0 on the greenwon and .4 on the other one. The other one was .12 before yoga.
I showed my highest # ever after a long hike this weekend (.042 I believe it was).
I have a quick question I’m hoping an experienced Ketoer may know the answer. I am about 3 months into Keto. First month my ketones read a steady 3.5 then second month around week 8 they stabilized near 2.5. Now heading into 11 weeks my numbers are reading between 1-1.2. So I’m guessing I’m getting efficient at making them and using them but if I’m on the lower spectrum does that mean any little screw up can kick me out faster because my ketones are lower, or is it the opposite because I’m fat adapted (I assume) so it would be harder to fall out of Ketosis? I ask because usually every other weekend I enjoy two glasses of red wine but I don’t want to lose all my hard work.
After lunch (around 2:30pm) I was .6, but I also ate cake n sugar monday and tuesday, so was knocked out of Ketosis yesterday and most of today.
Went to the gym and did HIIT on the jacobs ladder, came home, tested and I was .2
This seems consistant on days I do HIIT. My ketones seem lower after. After conventional cardio, my ketones are higher afterward.
Maybe less show up on my keto mojo because I expended them in my high intensity anarobic workout.
How long have you been keto? I just don’t want to worry about indulging in the occasional red wine and don’t want to have to go through Keto Flu if I get knocked out. I never eat sugar or carbs over 20
Im almost at 50 days. Beside from this time, Ive been 20g total or under since day 1. In Ketosis since end of day 1. I have an eating disorder so binges of the sugar variety can trail me at times, and this time I was temporarily overtaken.
Keto Flu is just at the beginning if you dont keep your electrolytes up. Getting knocked out after a few weeks generally wont shove you into keto flu, just out of ketosis, and then you gotta get yourself back in.
If you can swing wine and stay in ketosis, then by all means. You may find that to be a challenge, but you have to monitor your blood ketones to see how it affects you. Afterall, the name of thr game is sustainability for the long haul.
