KetoFest Australia 2018

(Chris Fader) #22

I keep checking kickstarter for tickets… but can’t find anything yet… am I missing the ticket sales page somehow?

(Yori Bargil) #23

as september 16th is just around the corner I would love to get more information
the only morning flight from Melbourne is 8am arrive 9;30 is it too late or do I
have to come the day before and book an accommodation and if we do is there anything happening saturday ?
also would like to be kickstarter so don’t want to miss out
any how we are very excited about this event
bring it on

(Eli) #24

Yep still no kickstarter. Was supposed to be released last week. Its coming soon so hope its not cancelled

(Tom) #25

Super disappointed as that’s the Sydney Running Festival weekend and I’m pushing my fat adapted and fasted lighter self around the city for 21.1km. Otherwise would have loved to come.

(Eli) #26

Listened to new PodCast and no new information there. @richard has been getting everything set up and doing some hard work. KetoFest Down Under is listed in the Low-Carb Down Under events but no other info there. Still waiting on the Kickstarter to grab tickets, hopefully not too expensive haha. Seeing as I also have to make the ~7hr drive from Melbourne to attend. Could do a plane trip but more expensive and will probably take just a long altogether.

Hmm. Less than a month until the proposed date. Kickstarter runs for a month doesn’t it?

September 16th

Hi Guys
Has anyone foundout about booking for Ketofest Australia
@richard

(Alec) #31

Alas, I can’t come either. MIL’s 80th birthday party in Sydney. Alas, the party has to come first… really pissed off. I would honestly prefer to be at ketofest. :sob::sob:

(Eli) #32

Just listened to the new PodCast. @richard was having issues getting all the bank information setup. The Eventbrite is going to be up soon and you’ll be able to get your tickets at ketofestdownunder.com but doesn’t look like there’s anything there yet.

(Eli) #33

Tickets are available here. Get em while they’re hot!

(Gabe “No Dogma, Only Science Please!” ) #34

Yep I booked mine a couple of days ago. @richard – is the VIP dinner on Sat night or Sunday night? (Crossing my fingers that it’s for Sat night!)

(Richard Morris) #35

VIP is Saturday night - at my place. We don’t have a big deck like Carl so it’s limited and tickets will go fast

(Gabe “No Dogma, Only Science Please!” ) #36

I’ve already got mine! Can’t wait. Couple of other questions while I have you here @richard

  • Any accommodation recommendations? I’m about to book a hotel; any huge advantage to being right by the press club?
  • I’ll have a car with me. Any trouble parking around the press club or around Canberra on the weekends?
  • Lastly, I hate to mention it again, but as a Jewish person I don’t eat any pig or shellfish products and certain fish are out. I do eat lamb and beef and chicken and venison and turkey and salmon and ocean trout and most other fish. And loads of other keto foods. I just wanted to mention again (and you prob saw my post on this before) that I had to miss ketofest 2018 and some keto minifests bc the food choices meant it wouldn’t have been worth it, so I’m hoping I might be accommodated at the VIP fn and on the day itself, because I’m so looking forward to it. Of course, no expectations – I guess if I have to cancel because the menu is tough for me that’ll just make someone who wants a VIP spot last-minute very happy!

Best
Gabe

I really want to come and been looking at flights and the first flight to canberra leaves melbourne around 8 oclock means I will miss the first session
so the only way to attend the event on time is to come the day before?
its my birthday on saturday 15th and would love to celebrate with friends and not spend good part of saturday in some hotel in canberra just to be on time to sunday
suggestions anyone did i miss something?

#38

There will probably be other forum members (new friends!) arriving the night before - you could all go out together & have a ketofied birthday dinner somewhere :gift: :cut_of_meat:

(glen babicci) #39

Has anyone heard what is in store for Keto Fest Down under ?
I can’t even see what time it starts and finishes ?

(Gabe “No Dogma, Only Science Please!” ) #40

Pretty sure all the details are on the eventbrite page.

(Fred Sadie) #41

Super annoyed, keto fest au coincides with Sydney marathon which I’m running. Hope we have another one soon.

#42

Hi Richard–my friend and I both booked tickets for each other and now we have 2 too many tickets. I’ve tried to have the charges reversed via the Event BriTe site but haven’t heard. WE got the VIP pass and so I don’t want to prevent someone from coming because we did this. Is there another avenue I should pursue to have this corrected?
Thanks!
