Keto with Medical issues

(Deb) #21

Welcome,V! And also welcome to the wonderful world of keto and this amazing forum!
Most forums (for me) don’t hold much in the way for keeping a person around long-term, but this one has become a family! Everyone is respectful, helpful, supportive, forgiving…everything you’d want if you could hand pick your friends or family. So you are definitely in a good place!
Rest assured that there are some of us here who literally feel your pain and know what you go thru. I’ve had 2 back surgeries with a 360 fusion so can understand. Eating this way and losing fat gives your body different options in ways of dealing with pain and also found recently, how it may react to meds.
You’ll do great!

Welcome to the forums! And to the wild and wacky world of keto. :+1:

It’s true that a lot of people here are dealing with a lot of problems, but on the whole and despite everything, we are a pretty cheerful bunch. I find that my difficulties don’t generally weigh on me nowadays—certainly not the way they did back when I was a sugar-burner. Now that I am a fat-burner, a lot of the stuff that used to burden me just slides off my back.

Please keep us posted about how things are going for you. I’d be surprised if your problems didn’t improve considerably, although no one can promise that they will all go away completely.

Anyway, welcome to the cult. The toaster-oven that Dave earned for signing you up should arrive shortly, and the e-mail about the best places to order your robes, candles, and incense should reach you in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, remember not to tell anyone about the mothership! :bacon::rofl::bacon::rofl:
