Keto weight stall

Started my keto journey on 29th June 2018, Today is my 85 Day.
First month- I got into ketosis on 5th day ( The urine test showed high ketones level)
Routine for the first month, 8 AM- ACV with pink salt followed by BPC with eggs or Keto Lassi (2 tbps Greek yoghurt with stevia and water) occasionally.
Usually no lunch for my as I was not hungry
Dinner- chicken with 1 big bowl of green salads. cooked in butter/ghee
snacks- Almonds and sunflower seeds
Water intake- 3 litres of total water with 1 litres in pink salt
Exercise- None
Cheating- None
Macros- Yes counted every bite and sometimes was under eating
Tried IF and OMAD but could not keep up
OK SO IN THE FIRST MONTH I LOST 5 KGS
Second month- Moderate level ketones on urine test
Eating routine- same as first month but used to eat fat bombs after dinner ( All keto friendly mostly keto cheese cake or keto bottlegourd with riccotta cheese in ghee.
Exercise- Yes I started working out 5/4 days a week with aerobics and cardio I would take avocado or boiled egg before workout
water intake- same as above
cheating- once
macros- yes and no, got over protein sometimes but nothing major I was pretty much sure what is how much so it was all good.
IF on weekends and it was ok
NO WEIGHT LOSS IT WAS SAME BUT I LOST 1 INCH
Third Month- Moderate level ketones on urine test
Eating routine- this month I have started IF 16:8 so it changed my eating routine
From 8 am till 2 pm water with pink salt, green tea, black coffee
2 pm- BPC 8 macadamia nuts
7 pm- Dinner chicken mostly with heaps of greens and keto desert to keep with calories as I was undereating.
after 9 pm I stopped eating anything as I sleep early so I’d say the IF window to be 18 hours
Exercise- Yes same as the second month
Cheating- Once
Macros- Well not anymore I know what I am eating
LITERALLY NO WEIGHT LOSS :frowning:

I am absolutely demotivated this time, as I am having such a hard time in managing this diet as I cook everything by myself with a busy schedule.
I got my reports for my blood test yesterday and everything was normal even my thyriod function is ok
I follow every step I also believe I am fully fat adapted and in ketosis as I have all the signs.
A lil bit of visible results on my body but it is same on scales?
I believe I should have lost so much weight with all the effort I am putting it but this is literally unbelievable.
WHAT TO DO?
IS THIS REALLY WORTH IT? like 5 kgs in almost 3 months?
Not trying to demotivate anyone but hey for me the grass ain’t greener on the other side?
PLEASE DO NOT SUGGEST ME EGG FAST OR OMAD AS I TRIED AND CANNOT DO IT.

Sorry for the long text but I am so furious.

How much are you undereating? Significant calorie restriction can be counterproductive to keto

Remember, it’s not a CICO diet, it’s a hormone control way of eating.

Also I am going to use my silly US weight measurements.:wink: But 1-2 lbs a week is what a person should expect to lose. So 5kg isn’t that insignificant. I am not sure how much you want to lose but if you are close to your goal weight it will come off slower. And if you have a lot to lose just remember it took awhile to gain it… So it may take awhile to lose it.

IF isn’t an obligation, for most it’s a sometimes thing (i.e. for me it’s mostly Sundays, sometimes another day a week). Thing is, if you’re not getting the results, you have to change something(s). Maybe don’t IF. Maybe “overeat” calories for a while. Think about what you can change, then try it. The phrase “n=1” get used here a lot, and for good reason - everyone is different, and we have to find what works for us.

Sounds really dull to me. Why not mix up the food? If I had to eat the same thing for a week I would go nuts, let alone your 3 months! I have something different each day - there are so many options.

This is supposed to be a lifestyle choice, not a diet. And maybe the change might kick-start things again…

What is your height weight and how many calories are you eating? What are your macros when you tracked?

I do changes recipes and I eat fish and prawns so for me this is alterations. keto steam veggies instead of plain salad

I am 5’3’" current weight in the morning was 79 kgs Macros are 1445 calories 119 gms fat 56 gms protein 20 gms carbs

I would try to just eat meals and don’t snack. Also artificial sweeteners can stall some people. You may want to try eating more food. I know after I eat a HUGE meal I tend to lose weight.

I am physically able to extended fast but it just messes me up so I eat two meals a day. Lunch and dinner. I don’t snack and I don’t do keto desserts. I do occasionally have some chocolate…it’s an addiction I’m working through.

Keto is a change in lifestyle not a quick fix diet. Sometimes it takes awhile to lose and sometimes the weight will drop quickly. You just have to stick with it.
