Keto sweet potato pie

(Karla Sykes) #1

I woke up and I had a craving for my grandmother’s sweet potato pie and I found a keto recipe and I’m going to make it. I will post pictures on how it came out and give you a review on it. I’m excited I’m going to go to the grocery store in about an hour and pick up some of the things that I need

OH MY WORD… this is inspiring. You are a chef of action!

That crust recipe looks divine - did you just press it into the pie tin? What about the filling? If it’s a secret recipe, it’s okay if you don’t explain it - but I’d love to know. :star_struck:

At 2+ years into keto, I’ve recently re-incoporated some root veg - and SP pie is one of my favorite desserts on the planet (haven’t had any in years).

I use about 2 cups of steamed sweet potatoes and I add 1/2 cup of erythritol, one egg, cinnamon allspice and Nutmeg to taste usually about 1/2 teaspoon of each with the exception of cinnamon I give that a teaspoon because I love it. I mix it all together in my food processor from not being lazy or by hand. And I put the crust in the oven 5 minutes before I put the filling in cooking for about 10 to 15 minutes let it sit on the counter and cool off for about an hour and then in the refrig for about an hour because I love code sweet potato pie

There is no secret. Yes I do put a holes in the pie crust and I bake it for about 5 minutes prior to filling it with sweat potato
