I amazed myself today. I’m a lumberjack. (Lumber-Jan???) My friends with the wood splitter showed up early, so I only had time for a few sips of my bpc/usual breakfast. I’ve been dragging huge logs, hefting them onto the splitter, and slinging split firewood since early this morning. I had no idea I could lift this much! Or that I could get so much distance throwing the pieces onto the giant firewood pile we made. Must have split 4-5 cords today…
And then after the wood splitter-dudes left, I hauled about half of it to the woodshed and stacked it. By myself. Lil old me!
Maybe not so amazing for some of you, but I just turned 60. I spend nearly every day seated on my tush, glazing pottery. Not very active. Sometimes I walk up the hillside with the dogs. That’s about it. And a year ago, pre-Keto, I could hardly manage that.
What m makes this even cooler, is that just two days ago I picked up my clay order. A ton - that’s 40 boxes, 50# each. Loaded them into my pickup truck, tailgate doesn’t go down, so kinda tough for short old me to get them up over the sides. And unloaded when we got home (had help with this part).
I’m a little sore, but it’s the good kind of sore…muscle sore, letting me know I did something.
Keto is my super power.
