Keto Stix or Pregnancy Strip

I’m 50 and my husband’s 58. Not really looking to be pregnant but on a weekend getaway I purposely left a keto Stix, changing color, on the hotel bathroom sink.(He has no idea what keto is) He yelled to me, “What’s that on the sink? A pregnancy test or something?” I casually answered, “Oh sorry, yeah but we’re fine. It’s only positive if it turns pink.” (Heehee.) Silence. Got him for a minute!

Gold!

how does your husband not know what keto is if you’re following it?

I just don’t tell him. He knows I have little quirks and goes along, like when we eat out, he tries the bread first and ONLY if it’s worth it(and he knows what that means) do I have one bite with lots of butter. He just sees it as my WOE but doesn’t question. It’s great! I don’t have to explain and I just say no when he offers me something sugary he’s eating! When I cook, we get the same meal and I add bread or potato to his.

Even better, he has no idea I fast. He skips meals so he wouldn’t think it was odd and I’ve done my longer fasts on work days that often run very late so we wouldn’t eat together anyway. You just don’t have to make a big deal about it. I think a lot of people get that part wrong and that may lead to more sabotage by co-workers and loved ones.
