Keto on a long flight
Didn’t you hunt for Easter eggs as a kid? Hard boiled eggs are fine at room temperature for a day or two even if they’re not sitting in the sun.
MCT oil ? It is liquid and TSA agents can faint at the sight of liquids in your possession. Just sayin’.
If you don’t leave the airport bringing food to the next flight won’t be a problem, if you leave the terminal and check in again it probably won’t be a problem either. China used to be much more concerned about imported black market items. But I haven’t been there in 30 years. Buy a roast duck for the last leg of the flight! Maybe @Ruina and @Gaff can weigh in here, they both have lots of experience flying in and out of China.
I don’t know, last time they took my sealed milk container as I was getting on the plane. I didn’t really want it, my roommate gave it to me for a snack on the road. But dry things seem to be okay.
Security had let it thru, but they took it as I was boarding.
There are some fantastic ideas here … some of which my wife and I will add to our plane travel checklist.
But I notice this thread (until about an hour ago) was 4 years old. Hopefully his eggs have been eaten by now.
Yes, and I put them in a ziplock bag, outside my luggage when going through security.
Lifesavers.
At the risk of being a wag, I’ll return to this thread with the following additional guidance…
Successful keto on a long flight boils down to the very same trick as keto on a long life: i.e., Don’t eat carbs.
Safe travels!
