Keto Mojo monitor

Has anyone purchased the Keto Mojo blood monitor? I have had mine for about 2 months. I am having a hard time getting higher than 1.0 ketone level… no matter what I do. Very frustrated.

I bought mine five months in. The highest I have been is 1.6 I think. It is also accurate for blood glucose. 1.0 is fine and is definitely in ketosis. the longer you are low carb, the more efficient your body becomes at using ketones. So fewer ketones may show up in your blood. Just make sure you stay under 20 grams of carbs a day and you will be fine. Have you lost weight or inches?

I started keto two and a half months ago and I have a keto Mojo. The first two weeks I was running super low. After I figured out how many carbs are in vegetables, my ketones started running between 2.0 and 3.5. I think I finally have it right and I am steadily coming in at a 1.0-2.0. So I think the keto Mojo will give you accurate readings.

Oh I forgot to say that I have lost 10 lb and 2 in.

I am the same as you it sounds like, it is a frustrating roller coaster. Wondering what I did wrong, on and on. I finally have taken the approach of going off how my body and mind feel… as long as I am not wanting to eat all day, not tired or brain fog… I am happy! Maybe have lower ketone score than what I really want but I feel good.

Ketone levels are not some competitive willy-waving challenge! As long as you’re at or above 0.4, you can be sure you’re enjoying the benefits of nutritional ketosis. Higher or lower levels depend on dozens of metabolic circumstances, and are nothing to be “frustrated about” if you’re otherwise achieving your goals.

I haven’t been consistently 1.0… on average I’m still reading at lo or .5… since Sept I have had 3 readings that read. 1.0. My intake is never more than 20 carbs

When are you taking these? Taking them later in the day generally gives higher results.

Most people cannot generate super high ketone levels while eating. But if you want to test the monitor, do a 48 hour water fast. You’ll see the numbers skyrocket.

You might have to go longer than that. After 60 hours of fasting, I recorded a ketone level of 1.1, in the morning. In the afternoon, I got 2.3, but that was after 68 hours of fasting. Again, mornings for me are the lowest readings, even while fasting multiple days. The highest value I’ve recorded was 4.7, after fasting 4.5 days.
