Keto Meetup Help

Hey, guys. Not sure if this is the right place on the forum to post this, but here goes.

I want to share the ketogenic lifestyle with my fellow Memphians. Yes, I live in Memphis, Tennessee, USA, which is a leading US city for obesity and diabetes. It is simply common and accepted here that people just “get” diabetes, like someone eventually “gets” old. This city badly needs education on metabolic illnesses and examples of those who have overcome them with nutritional ketosis. feel deeply for my fellow citizens and know what it’s like to be totally in the dark and then one day have the lights come on, then and everything changes. It’s an awesome feeling and I want to share it.

Here’s the thing: I need some pointers and tips. Any ideas are warmly welcomed and truly appreciated.

I’d like to start by getting your opinions on the name of the group. Does it matter much? I’d love to have something catchy that champions fat, but as everyone is so scared of fat, that might run folks off. It’s just that I grow so weary of hearing that refrain of how awful fat is that I’d love to have the word in the group’s name!

Anyway, I figured I’d probably kick off the group in a few weeks. So I have a little time.

Thanks in advance. Cheers, and Happy MLK, Jr day!

Not sure if anyone answered you but I plan on doing the same just west of Milwaukee WI in Waukesha. I’m going to call our group “Waukesha low carb/Keto so we get more people that search and may not use the word Keto. I could only find one group in the Milwaukee metro area and they were trying to recruit people to their products of extronious (sp?) ketones and I was not at all interested. Plus that group seemed to have no format, ugh.
I’d love to hear what your group does and how it’s going.
