I am brand new to this so I am trying to learn on the fly. This morning I made a shake using an Adkins advantage french vanilla shake and I added 2 tbsp of mct oil and 2 tbsp of heavy cream. trying to get my ratios correct but it was kind of sweet so that worried me a bit. Any and all input would be awesome

The quicker you can transition to real food, the better. No one truly knows what is in meal replacement bars/shakes. But if walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, its probably a duck.

If in doubt keep it simple. I have and will likely always have Bacon and Eggs in my fridge for go to meal for any time of the day and I don’t know what I want to eat. (2 rashers of bacon, 1 egg could probably see me through most of the day).

Atkins Nutritionals isn’t marketed to us… in fact, it’s not even really low carb. Their own rep says so. It’s full of artificial sweeteners/sugar alcohols and those wreak havoc on my digestive system.

But, look, YMMV. If this works for you, even temporarily, then do what you gotta do.

There are a few actual meal replacement products that are keto friendly … KetoChow is what I have in my house right now.

I have been on a meal replacement plan for four months, my first move when things went wrong. I was looking for better while I looked for something even better and I think keto is the next step. I actually found keto when I was looking hard at fasting and it seems they go together very well.
