Keto Irony

(Ethan) #1

Before I originally ate a keto diet, I couldn’t get enough to eat. My A1C (unknown to me at the time) was over 10, and I craved sugary nutty bars, fruits, and pastas. No matter how many I ate, I was still hungry for more.

After eating a keto diet for a few months twice now (I thought I was cured and stopped for 3 years), I again, CANNOT EAT ENOUGH! However, this time, the problem isn’t that I can’t find enough to eat. Now, instead, I can’t physically eat all the good, fatty foods I would love to taste! I sometimes feel sad that I will have to wait another day to eat the food I want because I am just not hungry.

It’s just ironic that before and after keto, I can’t eat enough, but in different ways!

Great observation.

So much bacon, so little time . . .

Pre-keto I would come home from work and be ravenous because I hadn’t taken time to eat and my wife would scold me because it wasn’t healthy. Now, I come home from work and she asks, “Are you eating today?”
