Keto, hormones and mental health

Hello All
I’m 2 months into my keto life and at the moment it all feels like I’m conducting my own experiment!
I’m noticing lots of things about myself and trying to track as much as possible.
I hit 40 two years ago and felt like my body and mind just sort of imploded - felt ill all the time, loads of colds and sore throats and piled on 2 stone. Got depressed, was put on anti depressants, felt worse, came off them and then still felt crap. Had aches and pains and some gout :expressionless::expressionless::expressionless::expressionless:
Anyway my GP told me to go on a keto diet an so here I am.
In 2 months I’ve gotten rid of all my aches and pains! I cannot believe it in some ways.
I’ve lost 9lb (I have another 4 stone to lose).
My mood has been much more improved as has my sleep - don’t wake up feeling depressed and or knackered even after a 8 hour sleep. So all good; however…

I used to get a little PMT before my period but it seems now since keto I’m getting this weird thing where the end of my period for about 5 days I’m
going through PMT - angry, really angry, weepy, down, then it clears and I’m happy again for the rest of the month.

I’m wondering if I should get my hormones checked and if anyone else had same issue? Also I don’t want to go to my GP for hormone panel as they don’t test properly on NHS so could anyone recommend U.K. based hormone tests?

Thank you for this amazing community
