HI!
I’ve been on Keto for 4 months and I have been following my meals very strictly.
I didn’t experience any side effects for the first 3 weeks. I felt great and had a lot of energy. I did HIIT training on my spinning bike, found a job and didn’t lay down a single second on my bed to procrastinate.
After this period I started getting weaker. I felt fatigued, tired and my arms and legs hurt. That is lasting for about 3 months now. I’ve tried drinking 2 boullion cubes + 10g of low-nat salt (50% sodium, 50% potassium) and Magnesium citrate (400g) in the morning, which didn’t help. I usually drink about 4 liters of water (tried less, tried more)
I’ve lost a lot of weight (15kg) and still have lots of energy. It’s just that I move slower and my arms and legs feel tired all the time when working on something physical.
Due to not enough time, I didn’t exercise for a month. After getting back on HIIT I couldn’t even do 4 intervals. I was completely exhausted. I then drank a cup of milk and my energy changed in 5 minutes. I felt amazing.
I usually eat at around 1500 calories per day (65-75% fat - 120g, 35-25% protein - 100g, 5% carbs - 20g). Tried different ratios, but nothing helps a lot.
I don’t know how to keep going on. I love keto, the meals, no cravings, never hungry, better motivation, better focus. It’s everything I wanted. But I can’t live with my arms and legs hurting everyday. I have an active lifestyle from 7am to 23pm.
