Keto diet app

(Jake P) #1

Has anyone tried the keto diet app? I absolutely hate MFP I have been using Lifesum but this app a coworker turned me on to seems pretty sweet. The main screen shows 4 big circles, tracking your fat, protein, net carbs, yes I said net carbs, and calories. The food library seems okay too.

I found it on iOS, not sure if it’s available on android.

I’m not familiar with the app you were looking into (and also don’t like MFP) but the one that I use called KetoDiet developer: compumaster ltd and creator Martina Slajerova. It has tons of recipes and I found it easier for me to track my diet because I’m fairly new to this lifestyle. There is a planner for the week, shopping basket, and other good info I use a planner every day and mostly cooked from the app recipes. Defibstelly eorjs great for me. You can actually see lots of her recipe on her website and information about the app KetoDietApp.com
Hope you find what works best for you :+1:t3:

The thing that gets me is you have to purchase stuff - otherwise, it looks good

trust me, I’m with you. I actually found myself loving the recipes and making so many I decided that for me it was worth it. I tried a bunch of different recipes from other sites that didn’t works as well (E.G coconut blueberry muffins… total fail. took 45 min to clean the oven and air my kitchen, and the irony is it came from a “5 min breakfast” blog ) and since she really test her recipe I saw it as a small price. Once you found your favorite app you will know

I switched from MFP fo the Keto Diet app 2 weeks ago. I’m loving it! I like having the recipient there. You do have to pay for some but that’s up to you. I like that users can’t change the measurements ect like on MFP. Very inaccurate with every Tom, Dick and Harry adding whatever they feel like to it . There isn’t a scanning feature so that’s a bummer and being from Australia I find none of the food is in there. I’ve just been adding the food I use. I’ll only have to do it once and then it’s always there. One other positive is that you can use grams on anything, much easier for me than trying to work out cups ect.I did complain to them that there isn’t a mls measurement for liquids, they said it’s coming soon. Anyway I would give it a whirl if I was you, I’m sure they are improving all the teething problems all the time.

I saw someone talk about cron-o-meter and I haven’t looked back… It does everything I want and more… Purchased the gold version because I liked it so much.

That’s arcade picture says a lot. Sometimes you’ve got to pay the piper. We’re spoiled these days. I’d like a clean running all-in-one app that would keep track of bio-readings, strength training workouts, supplements and food macros. I’d give $25 for it. I don’t mind paying for quality.

LOL if only that were true.

My problem is, I pay for it and then don’t use it.

I have the pro version of KetoDiet App - I put it back on my phone, I’ll see how I like it. I did get the basic version of the Keto Diet Tracker, as well, to see how it compares. At least you can try before you buy

don’t let the name run you off. It is very user friendly and easy to customize. I like it so much I even paid for a subscription, and it was a bit more than a couple of arcade games.

Hey, I see you are using the KetoDiet App which is what I have started with. Do you know how to delete a meal that you accidentally entered? For example, I entered something in breakfast and lunch in my planner and I don’t know how to delete it

Thanks for the help!

(Aloy ) #13

Hi, just hold your finger on what you want to Reno e and swipe to the left. You will then see a small orange “remove” button on the same row of what you want to delete.

Hope that helps!

That app is crap because it doesn’t track magnesium a very important nutrient and I asked them on fb to add it in and he said he would think about it, I was like you moron, magnesium is just important as calcium or any other nutrient

Your use of language is disapointing. We are all (including the app developers) working towards a general well being and good heath AND supporting each other. It’s a good website and app for MY opinion and I’ve noticed they keep improving. When I had questions and suggestions I always got a response but improving takes time. Determine that a site is “crap” because one thing is missing (and many other do, too) is making you seem judgmental and spoiled. Don’t like it? Don’t use it. And take magnesium regardless if an app is telling you or not, just check with how you feel. Not sure? Your leg cramps will let you know. Good luck and I hope you find what you’re looking for.
