I look forward to my morning cup of joe more than I ever have before, now that it’s Keto coffee. Question, could I just drink this for two meals and then eat food for dinner? Shoot, I would drink if for dinner too, if it wouldn’t keep me up all night!
Keto Coffee
I found that after losing 70 pounds and keeping 72 pounds off for 5.5 years, that I really needed to stop drinking fatty/Keto coffees and get my fat from my food.
I did find that I would start to regain my weight by adding Keto coffees. Soooo I have a fondness for Black coffee, decaf or caffeine free tea at night work well for me ( intermediate caffeine metabolizer here)
Some folks do great, but by eating whole, real LCHF/Keto foods I get that nutritional density in what I do eat. I like fatty coffee, but my body says - Oh, heck no!
And, in 5+ years, I’ve learned to listen. Better quality coffee is better- especially if you are drinking it black, but not overly expensive. I wouldn’t buy Dave Asbery’s coffee, but I do get a good Starbucks roast or Allegro.
Yes, many do a form of IF that uses this model. Do what works for you. It’s an n of 1 experiment. If it’s sustainable and you feel good on it then that’s great.
Be sure your OMAD is nutrient rich or you may run yourself down/burn out.
I find that keto coffee is great during transition to get extra fat… but I got over it pretty quickly as I was finding I was exhausted all of the time from lack of other nutrients. Once you are feeling fat adapted, as was said before, in order to succeed in weight loss you may need to give it up.
I do partake in some keto coffee every few weeks as I am normally feasting on the weekends… but I consider it a treat now.
I find the COMPLETE opposite. The Keto coffee makes me feel so energized, not hungry at all and it tastes so good!
If it works for you that’s awesome!!! It really is all about the individual. I may brew myself some here for my long drive as I get ready to fast until Wednesday. Hopefully it does some good!
