Keto Christmas List

(Dawn) #1

Hi Pals, Let’s have a little fun and maybe learn from each other in the process. Give me a list of cool keto stuff that you would like to have for Christmas and why. Here is my list

  1. Ketone/Blood Glucose Monitor - That Ketomojo thing I think it is called. I already went to the site and emailed it to my husband. I really want to start monitoring my ketones much more closely and Blood glucose

  2. Bag of Lavendar Epsom Salts - I like to soak my feet in it to get a little more magnesium into my blood

  3. Warming foot soaker- Because who doesn’t want to soak their feet

  4. Unroasted Macadamia Nuts with Sea Salt(in Bulk) - I love them soooo much but sometimes they can be hard to find. If I get them in bulk, I can keep them for a long time

  5. Air Fryer - I don’t really love the taste of Lard, but it is the only thing that is marginally healthy to fly my chicken. I would prefer to just start air frying and see how that works out

  6. New Jeans - Before keto, I had 4 butts, now I only have 3. I need jeans that fit accordingly =0)

  7. Xylitol gum - It’s expensive and I can’t find it in the stores

  8. A bag of Xylitol and Swerve - I have never tasted these sweeteners and supposedly they do not raise blood sugar and can be used for baking keto treats. Once I Get to maintenance, I will begin adding some sweeteners to my diet. Baking some keto treats will help keep me away from the real sugar.

What’s on your list? What cool keto stuff do you want for Christmas? If you don’t celebrate Christmas, what is on your “must have” list for Keto items? Items that you may not necessarily buy for yourself but would love to have as a gift for any occasion.

One of these days - a stand mixer. And a new kitchen counter to put it on!

More affordable - a removable colander insert for my Instant Pot. A wide vegetable peeler for zoodles.

(Dawn) #3

YES, a tool to make zoodles. I am soooo adding that to my list.

Hi D,

No meter, epson salts, no foot soaker, macadamia nuts, air fryer, or xylitol gum on my list.

What I would like includes:

  1. Kisses from Mrs. Hanson
  2. A Sous Vide
  3. A second Sous Vide
  4. A vacume sealer
  5. A cup size container for my Vitamix
  6. And new Klim Badlands pant and jacket so that I can ride my motorcycle again. My old gear does not come close to fitting.

Keto for Life!

Richard

Not quite keto, but a Garmin Vivosport. Just waiting for Black Friday

(Dawn) #6

What is a sous vide? I do want a vacuum sealer. I am going to add that to my list too. I cook alot of keto foods that my kids/hubby won’t always eat. And since I fast alot, much of that food goes to waste. A vacuum sealer could help tremendously. Good Call. I hope you get it!!!

(Sophie) #7

It would be nice if my hubby would go full keto with me, then we could EF together.

(Richard Hanson) #8

Hi D,

Sous vide is French for under vacuum, but what it is all about is cooking vacuum packaged foods in a water bath at a very accurate temperature. With two systems, I can cook steaks, well done for Mrs. Hanson, and medium rare for everyone else in the house that does not like an overcooked steak. I am trusting no one will mention this my darling Susi or I might miss out on kisses for Christmas.

(Bacon for the Win) #9

this for the win! Klim gear is so spendy!

(Richard Hanson) #10

Hi Nelle,

A small fortune but Klim gear is just fantastic offering high end protection during an off and superior all weather performance. I am also going to need new electrics. My preference is Warm & Safe heated gear and a good fit is important.

If Mrs. Hanson ever gives me the boot … I need to find a woman just like you that actually likes motorcycles. Impressive!

Keto for Life,

Warmest Regards,
Richard

A keto chef! Because I don’t care for cooking… Which is probably how I ended up eating all those carbs for years… it’s not that I can’t cook and bake I just hate thinking about what to make for dinner and get out of the freezer at 7 or 8 in the morning.

Zoodle Maker

Subscription box to Adventure Standard Box - Because that is my reward, really neat hiking/outdoor gear for women, because the dogs and I will be doing alot of hiking after winter is over. My Keto non food reward, and because it is really neat to get a box each month and have no idea what is in it and they do a great job.

Organic Cocoa Nibs

(Dawn) #13

What is this Adventure Standard Box. I think I love it.

(Vicki Stroud) #14

it is Adventure Standard Subscription Box
I got a box just to see if I would enjoy it and I love it, they are geared specifically for women, The box I got I think was the October one, and it had a really nice good quality Long Sleeve T-Shirt, A Vermont Smoke House meat stick (Keto Friendly), a really nice pair of hiking socks, a gear tie to hang your gear with, one of those multi purpose headband/neckbands. The box is $39.95 mo less if you subscribe for a longer period prepaid. But what I got I was thrilled with. Really nice stuff not cheap at all, and they have a questionaire you fill out at the beginning, your favorite color, 3 favorite outdoor activities, clothing size, and things you don’t want, and I plan to put Carbs as one of them, because they do send 1 or 2 snack items.

(KCKO, KCFO 🥥) #15

Keto related, keto is why I need these, warm winter shirts that fit me. I am tired of walking around looking like a child in her mother’s clothes. Shoulder seams are nearer my elbow than my shoulders, and everything is WAY longer than when my fat belly and even bigger boobs shortened them, they are closer to my knees than my waist now.
I will wait for Jan. winter close out sales. I have spent too much money on gadgets to make keto work for me this past year.

(Bacon for the Win) #16

I promise you, if MrG ever gives ME the boot, I WILL NOT be looking to replace him! However…I will be needing a motorcycle and snowmobile mechanic since he does all the maintenance on our toys.

While I don’t have any Klim motorcycle gear, my snow gear is all Klim. Very nice and one of my biggest reasons to finally get a grip on this weight issue. I simply cannot afford to keep buying new gear!

BTW, what do you ride?

(Stephanie Tebbs) #17

I feel like there should be a Keto Secret Santa.

I few high dollar items but I don’t think I’ll get much of it. My husband and I are keeping our gift giving to a minimum this year.

-Sous vide
-Vacuum food sealer
-Instant Pot
-Stand Mixer
-Nutribullet
-Cocoa Butter -I’m always running out of that stuff
-Powder MCT oil by Perfect Keto
-2KetoDudes mugs

I ride a 2014 DL650A adventure bike with about 40k miles on the clock. When I am done wearing that bike out, I am looking at the Yamaha Super Tenere. I ride all year round in all weather unless there is ice on the roads, or at least I did when I could still fit in my gear.

(Bacon for the Win) #19

I hit 40K this summer on my 2011 Victory Cross Road. All put up for the winter, covered and has battery tender on. Just need snow for the sleds now.

sorry for hijacking this thread!
