So…yes, like a fellow ketoer aptly said, I have become a gaseous monster. What food to avoid while battling candida? My skin is breaking out, it’s dry and itchy and full of rashes. The egg fast was a terrible idea. I, instead, gained a few pounds though that maybe just bloating. I’m not worrying about the scale, but I’m worrying about my uncontrollable appetite. I am hungry even when I am not hungry- that is, I’m unusually craving food and sweets. I’m not being able to digest dairy, or even protein. I did my blood test to find out about C Reactive Protein- I’m OK. I don’t have issue with that. I’m constantly craving stuff to munch on. It’s very unlikely, given that I’ve been down this road for 11 months now, and instead of mastering it, I’m failing at it.

Hi Bibi, last week I caught up with a good friend who’d I’d lost touch with for the last 18 months. She has lost 5 stone in weight due to gastric band and nutrition overhaul, including low carb. The reason I’m telling you about this is because, like you she was previously constantly craving food and hence the weight gain. She was eventually tested and found to have significantly increased levels of Ghrelin, a hormone which increases hunger. Now she has it under control and looks and feels great. This may/may not be something affecting you; maybe worth some investigation???
