Keto calc

Can someone explain how this works? I have looked it up but ended up following someone else’s calculations because we were the same height and weight but not sure if that is correct for me.

They’re all different so whatever you calculate, don’t take it as gospel as you will need to adjust things to make them right for your individual body.

The calculating is actually quite easy. First, keep carbohydrate intake under 20 grams a day. Keep protein moderate, around a gram per kilo of lean body weight per day. Then eat fat to satiety. When you stop being hungry, stop eating and don’t eat again until you are hungry again.

The idea is that carbohydrate stimulates insulin secretion, and the level of insulin in your blood determines whether you are going to burn glucose or fat. If you have body fat you want to get rid of, it is a good idea to try to keep your insulin level low. Some protein is essential, but you don’t want too much, because it does stimulate insulin secretion somewhat, though not as much as carbohydrate does. Fat stimulates insulin production only a little bit, so it’s safe to use it to meet the majority of your body’s energy needs. If you eat fat to satiety, your body will tell you when you’ve given it enough energy. It will keep your metabolic rate high, and it will be able to metabolize stored fat, even if you are eating a large quantity of fat as well.
