Can anyone recommend a book on keto dieting for women?
Thanks

Hmmmm can’t say that I’ve read one, but it’s a great question!

There are a number of podcasts that you can listen to by keto /LCHF women, including the 2KetoDudes interviews (episode with @Brenda and @kim). General books such as Keto Clarity (Jimmy Moore) mention some women’s issues (if I recall)?

There is a female thread that you’re welcome visit here on the Forum!

There’s a specific podcast for women, keto for women I think it’s called, and Leanne Vogel also has a podcast just for women called the keto diet podcast. She has also released several books so have a look under her name.

I bought The Keto Diet book by Leanne Vogel, and have listened to some of her pod casts. She also has a website, www.healthfulpursuit.com. I have also listened to the other podcast listed as well. Some great information for women doing keto.

I listen to both of these two podcast mentioned above but I wish there were a few more keto for women experiences out there. Our metabolism is different and less well understood, so while we wait for science to catch up with this, I would love to know more about women who have been doing keto for a long time and in different periods of their lifes (pregnancy, menopause, etc).

I am currently listening to Any Way You Can: Doctor Bosworth shares her mom’s cancer journey. It’s like a beginner keto book paired with how she helped her mom deal with cancer. It’s SO GOOD, I highly highly suggest it to everyone really. Don’t be fooled when I say it’s like a beginner book. Dr. Bosworth explains ketosis and ketogenic eating really well, in everyday language and gets sciency a little bit but still explains it very easily. Personally I want the sciency stuff. How can I explain it to anyone else with any level of knowledge without the specifics? But still in a way someone who isn’t familiar with all these medical words can understand. Definitely read this book.
