Keto bomb shake - for those who can't get enugh cals

Hey,

It happens on Keto - Decreased appetite. And its so annoyng when You weightlifting because You have to cover all Your macros. Just want to share my recipe which I use when I feel full and can’t put any food inside.

Main things are fats of course. So:

Water 350 - 400 ml
2 tbsp Organic Virgin coconut oil (0 carbs, 28 fat, 0 protein)
1 scoop Whey protein (2 carbs, 2 fat, 23 protein)
2 tbsp Walnut oil (or other oils) (0 carbs, 27 fat, 0 protein)
50-70 g Spinach (3 carbs, 1 fat, 6 protein)
120-140 g Avocado (2,5 carbs, 15 fat, 2 protein)

Total about 800 Calories with 5,5 carbs. And adding one more oil or ghee will count this to 1000 calories. It’s a little hard on my stomack for about half an hour (I just feel very full). But it passes.

Wouldn’t it make more sense to concentrate on getting enough protein to provide raw materials for muscle growth? Surely, once you are fat-adapted, you have enough reserves to fuel any lifting regimen imaginable, so caloric intake is not a concern? I would think getting enough BCAA’s would be more important, especially leucine, iso-leucine, and valine. Of course, I’m not a lifter . . .

Its only idea for calorie bomb :slight_smile: i eat enough protein everyday. And taking bcaa after training for recovery. Taking amino acids by universal nutrition and fish oil too. For me its hard to get enough fat, so I make it with that shake :slight_smile:
