I go to Sloan Kettering cancer center every 3 months for my prostate cancer checkup. I see 3 doctors. My first IM doc went crazy after he saw me for the first time since I went Keto in March. My A1C dropped from 7.9 to 6.5 and my NMR Lipid profile is so good my PCP took me off my statin drug. Instead of wearing XXL clothes I now wear L. My IM doc had me wait in room and then brought a second doctor in to interview me as to how I did it. They both have tried to get their patients on Keto but most patients give up and they wanted advice from me on how to motivate their patients. I told them have their patients listen to 2 Keto Dudes and Keto talk with Jimmy Moore and the Doc podcasts.
Then I went to a farmers market and someone was selling Keto foods under a big “Keto” banner. Then while at a midtown subway station waiting for the train I heard a young woman telling her 3 friends about a ketogenic diet. One of the other girls said she didn’t believe it would work if u ate fat. I said “excuse me, I hate butting in but I’ve been Keto since March and have lost 40 lbs and my diabetes is on the road to remission” so lots of people are hearing about Keto in the biggest city in America. It’s blowing up… thought u guys would enjoy that. Stay calm and Keto on

I go into see my oncologist today. My nurse of two hears tells me she’s been Keto for 7 years. That’s 3 doctors and 1 nurse that have come out of the closet in the last 5 weeks. What the heck is going on? It’s a freakin revolution that’s what’s going on!

Dr Jason Fung (Toronto nephrologist on quest to eliminate diabetes) had the same frustration before he decided to teach his patients to use fasting. Satisfied patients created the Facebook page Fung Shweigh. Ongoing fasting support is the goal of the podcast Fasting Talk.
