How good is the bacon. I made it for the first time. It was about 1.3kgs half of it has gone already since yesterday so I’ll start another one tomorrow for next weekend.

I assume this is a rhetorical question?

Bacon is ALL THE GOODS!!:bacon:

All the BACON IS GOOD. I’m trying out pork belly as soon as I can find some good stuff. Nowhere around me sells it apparently :frowning:

Where are you? Of course belly pork only became popular when the tv chefs started cooking it.

Michigan

You might have to ask a butcher. When I first came to Australia I couldn’t get shoulder of lamb they used to make forequarter chops out of it, but now they are selling it due to the tv chefs cooking it.

I love bacon.
I make baconators.
I crisscross/weave bacon in the oven for 30 minutes until it hardens up, and then I use it like bread to make BLT’s. Oh my lord.

At Walmart, it’s sometimes called “salt pork” and it’s carried in the floor coolers in front of the bacon and hot dog section. The coolers that sit in the middle of the floor.

Oh thank you! Will check this out!

When I worked at a grocery store I learned that the “floor coolers” are called bunkers.

Is this good? I noticed it packaged below the bacon this morning.

It’s higher fat content, so more filling
