Hallo,

Unfortunately I am not only new to Keto, but I also live in a hotel room due to working 1500 miles from home. The only cooking unit I have is a Rad Maker (hotplates and crockpots are not allowed), I can budget 800$ USD a month toward food. Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

PS I am also allergic to avocados.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

I’m afraid I don’t know what a Rad Maker is, so can’t help with ideas for that. But do you have a fridge in your room? If so - cheese, cold cooked meats, olives and salad veggies are good things to stock it with. Outside of the fridge, keep a bottle of extra virgin olive oil and a supply of nuts. Any combination of those things will make an interesting salad, many combinations possible.

You can eat out! Burgers and chicken sandwiches without the bun! Salads, no croutons- make sure only above ground veggies are used and topped with protein. Seafood!!! Buy the eggs already hard boiled at the store. Tuna. Get tacos ask for extra lettuce and just dump all the insides onto plate,Taco Salad!!!
Hope this helps.

I second this. You’ll find some topics on this forum about fast food options.

Rad Maker = Microwave
Unfortunately the fridge can’t get cold and stay there, so I can’t really store anything more than a day.

Ah, well with a microwave you can do scrambled eggs - or poached, if you can find a microwave egg poacher. You can do salmon fillets and vegetables, then add butter.

As for the fridge - complain!! Or maybe your own small one?

You can cook bacon in the microwave too! A couple minutes a side! Experiment though!

Thank you for the starting advice. I carried around a bag of Pistachios to snack on today. Trying to keep away from the vending machines.
