Keto at the County Fair

#1

4th of July I went to the county fair and easily stayed keto (almost 3 weeks in)! Pics below.

I want to preface by saying, first, that I tend to be crowd-averse and avoid such horrid things as the county fair. But a friend convinced me to go and, to my surprise, I found myself energetic and happy and quite enjoyed myself. Second, historically I would have been drooling over the prospects of fried dough, ice cream, french fries etc, but I had no such cravings. These are huge NSVs for me.

Success = planning and focus.
For emergencies, I carried with me an avocado, a packet of dehydrated bone broth, olives, mushrooms sauted in bacon grease and a shaker of sea salt, but found I didn’t need to eat any of it, because I found: giant turkey leg, bacon wrapped Brussels sprouts, chocolate covered bacon (dark chocolate but tasted too sweet so I gave most of it away). Also, a mineral meat display at the gem show. I wish the pano really showed the vast amount of food available; it was insane.

good for you!

It becomes easier and easier to know how to live keto in everyday life. Even buying burgers and hotdogs at a venue and throwing the buns in the trash is easy to do. So glad you do not feel trapped any more.
