Keto at a Sushi Bar

#1

My friends had a get together and chose a sushi bar. I figured that I would just sip tea and hang out. But no! They chose this particular sushi bar just for me. Before I got there they told the chefs that I couldn’t have soy or rice or sugar. No starches. I had sashimi, salmon collars, pork belly, yellow tail collar, a seaweed salad (with dressing they whipped up just for me).

I am so blessed to have friends who “get it”. And that sushi bar has a new regular customer.

What is the name and location of the sushi bar, and what would one ask for to get this menu?

I love sashimi! What a great group of friends to think of you that way.

@larry The place is called Sasa Sushi in Las Vegas, where I live. Many sushi places have things we can eat on their menus. I usually look at the appetizer menu and start asking questions. If you avoid soy it can be harder to find someone willing to cook without it (change their recipes). It is like eating at any other restaurant, you might get misinformed and knock yourself out of ketosis. And you can always have sashimi, but I could eat 15 platters of that and never fill up.

My son just graduated high school with honors and his favorite food is sushi. I was just not going to eat but my son asked the waitress about low carb options and she suggested the Tuna Tower with no rice !! It was amazing !! Tuna, caviar, avocado and crab spicy mayo and no soy sauce Perfect …just a suggestion for anyone having some cravings
