Yesterday marked 1 year since I started keto. I’d approximate I stayed keto for 90% of that time, went off a few Disney trips, some cheat meals, and holidays.
80lbs lost from 340 to 260 and completely off my blood pressure medicine. I’ve dropped 3 pants sizes from 44 to 38s and some XL shirts fit well as opposed to having skin tight 2XL shirts. I even got a compliment from a random lady the other day.
I can actually fit in my wife’s old Equinox without my shoulders digging into the pillars.
I have energy for days without needing (but dammit you’ll have to pry the Mtn Dew Zero Sugar and morning coffee out of my cold, dead hands) caffeine. I can completely skip eating for a day and not feel bad or getting voraciously hungry.
I used to hate vegetables and would mostly eat salads, corn, or potatoes. I’m on an asparagus, cauliflower, and Brussels sprouts kick now.
I’m healthier now than I’ve been in a long time.
