Greetings!
A few days ago I kind of stumbled into my first “fast”. Had been toying with the thought (to get out of my weight loss stall) but not seriously. That day I wasn’t really hungry, had lots to do, so I just decided to put food off til dinnertime. All sweet. Felt great. Next day in the morning I had my best exercise workout ever! I still wasn’t all that hungry and, inspired by all the good energy, decided to not eat til dinner again. I also kicked the stall and lost a decent amount of weight.
So now, it’s another day, and I’m starting to get attached to this method of just one meal in the evening.
My only “indulgence” are two coffees a day with some (not heaps) of HWC and some salted bone broth.
My question is, will this work indefinitely? Or until I decide to stop it? I’m really happy with how my energy levels and the weight loss are going, but I’m worried that I’m just on my way to another stall. I thought keto by itself would keep me loosing weight, but it stopped, so is this the next intermittent solution after which I have to up it another notch eg do longer stint fasting?
Any wisdom appreciated. Thanks
Keto and "sort of IF" ... am I doing this right?
We really can’t say. We are all individual fluffy unicorns. I stalled in month 2 and decided to shake things up with a extended 40 hour fasts and 24 hour fasts. Shook the plateau and I’m riding it into my 2 ND month. Lost 3 lbs last month and maybe the same this month have to wait until the end of the month. My weight fluctuates too much during the month so I wait until the end and average it out. N=1. Ride it and see. Mix it up. Feast on your feeding days. Go over your calories limit and fat limit. It really works.
My 2 cents
There is a 2 dudes podcast with Megan Ramos who talks about mixing it up.
Indefinitely? Probably not. But hey, enjoy the ride while it seems to be working well for you.
Thanks guys. I listened to that podcast. Very sensible advice. Sounds like mixing it up is the way to go
