Hi I want to know about keto and CKD… I’m staged 2 … I have glomerulonephritis I started this woe 6 weeks ago I have lost 3.5 kilos… what is classed as moderate protein??? My keto calculator suggested 78g… I’m 58 kilos & 162cm … I also go to the gym 3-5 days a week and do weights and cardio about 90 mins each time. … would 78 be about right and is this too much when you have CKD… if I have missed out on giving any info please ask!

“Moderate protein” is somewhere between 0.8 to 1.5 grams per kilo of lean body mass a day, which given your weight is something like 49 to 75 grams. But there is a lot of wiggle room where protein is concerned, so you are fine. You could think of cutting back a bit, but since you are exercising, don’t worry about it. Also, the keto experts disagree about what our protein level should be, so go with what works for you.
