Keto Airborne Alternatives

#1

Getting sick, any good Keto friendly alternatives to Airbourne? Looking at their labeling each dose is 3g carbs. That would be 12 a day for me, I’m trying to stay under 20 carbs.

Water, electrolytes, salty broth?

Hmmmm . . . some quick search-fu has delivered several articles about this company being fined for mis-representing its powers. Maybe good old fashion remedies will be in order as listed above.

Bone broth (home made) or steak.

Just like the old saying, “a steak a day keeps the doctor away”. :joy:

(Ethan) #6

Try zicam lozenges.

(Chris) #7

Just one??? haha

High doses of Vitamin C (5000 mg or more), Vitamin D, zinc, Selenium, Oregano Oil, Chinese medicinal mushrooms. Everyone around me has gotten sick this year, but not me. My immune system has been great thanks to supplementing and keto :muscle:t3:

I swear by cold-eeze (zinc lozenges). They make sugar free versions. Most effective when you first feel the symptoms start (for me that’s a sore throat)

(Ethan) #10

The sugar-free ones are hard to come by these days…

Also, Cold-Eeze sugar free have virtually the same carbs as the sugar ones:

(sue) #11

I had to order mine on Amazon. The sugar free ones use a sweetener instead of HFCS like the original. Don’t recall which one though!

(Ethan) #12

They aren’t any lower carb than sugared ones

(sue) #13

yes the difference in carbs is minimal - so? you have the option of using a corn-syrup & sucrose flavored lozenge or a ace-k one.

(Ethan) #14

Ace k is equally bad for insulin as sugar… that’s why I stopped using coldeeze altogether. I use zicam now—though I am curious about the coldeeze rapimelts

Whoohooo found a recipe for Insta-pot bone broth, get to use our new toy again. Wife out getting grass fed beef bones (3.49 a lb not bad) and the rest of the stock fixins.
