Keto 360

(Rosemary Easter) #1

Does anyone follow the Keto 360 diet? Was just watching a YouTube video with Josh Axe and Ty https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FR1carRpyro&feature=youtu.be

Was surprised by the amount of veg they mentioned eating and how wrong me and others are by eating bacon, eggs, cheese etc. What do others think, please?

Different goals and different approaches.

Just looked a bit more into it and there seems to be lots of supplements and protein mixes in it.
Obviously a money making enterprise.

Branded diets are kind of the worst, no?
Here’s one: Control Carbs, Prioritize Protein, Fill with Fats.
If you want a further step: Eject Junk and Enhance Quality.

Another step: ensure your fats aren’t high in PUFAs.

As I said in your thread, you’d have to take a look at a standard set of SAD staples before you come for the PUFAs in a cherry picked high Omega-6 keto day and suggest it’s Omega 6 level is high. It may very well be higher than a strict beef carnivore diet, but it may be beneath a threshold that will vary from person to person… Even Dr. Eades, in his presentation, suggests that Omega 6 growth is likely secondary to carb consumption. Not coincidentally, the rise in vegetable oils coincided with the rise in carbohydrate consumption, sat fat reduction and protein reduction.

Additionally, you oughtn’t to lump all PUFAs together. Omega 3 and Omega 9 PUFAs have highly beneficial effects, and even some quantity of Omega 6 is apparently necessary for life.
