Keep getting emails despite turning them off

Since when I registered,I automaticaly got avalanche of emails.Every time someone made some post,I got email.Two days ago I turnes it off,but I still recieve emails frequently.

By the way,this site is in Slovak language for me.I never chosen that,I think it detected where my pc is.I have no problem with that but I think maybe becose the settings are in different langue,maybe somehow that made them not work?

I think I made mistake.I probably didnt check my email for long time and the emails I found today are from time before I deactivated them.Everything works as intended.

By the way,how can you delete thread or message?

You can delete a message you posted, but an admin would have to delete the thread. Don’t worry about it. If one comes along and sees the thread, it’ll eventually get deleted.
