My husband just saw bullet proof coffee in k-cups at the Vitamin Shoppe. You just need to make the coffee and then add your own butter and cream. What a scam!
K-cup Keto Coffee
I am surprised someone hasn’t slapped the term 'Keto" on packages of butter or bacon and tried to charge a couple of extra bucks for them!
Bulletproof has always been a brand name and the “bulletproof exec” has always sold his own brand of coffee recommended for making the original recipe BPC. Unlike all other “inferior” coffees, his is mold and toxin free.
LOL!! That’s funny.
My “home base” in the coffee world is Folgers half-caf and Folgers decaf and the trusty Mr. Coffee 12-cup $20 coffee maker. But I buy various other kinds, often stuff that’s on sale at some of the “bents, bumps & bargains” types of stores, usually. The range goes from really good to not so good. When we find something really good, we enjoy that. When we find something good but not great, we sometimes blend it in with other coffees that we happen to have on hand. When we find something we don’t like all that well, it gets mixed in with the Folgers until it’s gone and we don’t buy that anymore. Sometimes we buy beans and grind them, other times, already ground coffee. So our base coffee is a sort of ebb and flow of flavors. We may find one we just can’t live without someday, or maybe not. Not worried in the slightest because we rather enjoy the little surprises along the way.
I avoided the term “bulletproof” for a long time, just did coffee. But when I started blending in a little butter, it seemed like people understood better when I used the term “bulletproof”. Blending in a stout tablespoon of butter and maybe even a tablespoon of HWC makes for an awesome pot of coffee without a whole lot of anything else. (A pot is usually 7 - 9 cups.) I still like a little sweetener, usually Sweetleaf Sweet Drops. My wife likes it just like it comes out of the blender.
Special stuff… coconut oil, MCT oil, collagen, that stuff is fine, I guess, if that floats your boat. We just do coffee the way we like it.
