Just wondering

I just can’t wrap my brain around ‘losing inches, but not pounds.’

I’ve only lost 8 pounds in three weeks. Somehow my body feels different, but I expected more loss.

So… how does that work? How can inches disappear, but not pounds?

Yes. You can increase lean body mass (muscle or bone) while losing fat and water.

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #3

Remember that muscle is denser than fat tissue, so a pound of muscle occupies less space. So if you lose a pound of fat and simultaneously gain a pound of muscle, you will weigh the same, but you will be thinner. Not to mention healthier.

“Only” ?

Body composition changes.

This finally makes sense to me. Thank you!

I think 8 pounds is pretty good in 3 weeks… well done!
