Just started keto a couple days ago...feel like I'm eating too much am I?

#1

I recently started the keto diet, in a regular day I’ll eat as follows…

Breakfast

Poached egg, smoked salmon, 10 g cheese and mushrooms.

Lunch

Chicken salad with 30 g caesar dressing and 10 g cheese
Cup of tea with either teaspoon peanut butter or 10 g of 85 % dark chocolate

Afternoon snack (only if hungry or exercising)

Peperami and 10 g cheese or teaspoon peanut butter

Dinner

Salmon with green beans, mushrooms and salad with 15 g caeser dressing and 10 g cheese.

or

Chicken with spring onions and mushrooms in 30 g sourcream and broccoli, green beans, asparagus.

At bedtime I will usually have a cup of tea and another 10 g of 85 % dark chocolate.

Is what I’m eating okay? I just feel like it’s far too much and feel full and not hungry at all which I’ve never experienced on any type of diet before. Am I going wrong somewhere?

Thanks

When you first start don’t worry about it too much, just be sure you’re keeping carbs under 20g. Once you’re fat adapted, your hunger will go down and you can try skipping breakfast and then maybe lunch too.
Core foods are meat, cheese, nuts, and green veggies. I’d be careful eating chocolate everyday. Here are some keto snacks ranked:

In my opinion, you are eating right, but it depends on your height and weight. For a start, just stay under 20g carbs a day. And the cheese can cause you some problems. it is not forbidden to eat cheese on keto but too much of it can cause you a stall.

Can’t really comment because @grinch734 pretty much said everything I was going to!! Looks like you are off to great start!!

Thank you everyone! Maybe I’ll just do cheese as a snack and in one meal only then!
