Hi y’all, I’m 56 year female new to this Keto lifestyle (about 4 weeks), I’ve been on my journey to reverse my type II diabetes for 5 years now starting with a low glycemic diet going to
Low glycemic/a gluten free diet, then low glycemic/gluten free/no processed foods/organic diet all to loose weight and lower my A1c finally I did get off the metforman only to gradually see my numbers and weight climb again ugh! …now I’ve added his Keto lifestyle to all the others above with a lot more freedom! I feel it is my last chance to keep my numbers in control. So far my Bf readings are steady and always under 100
(Haven’t seen that in years) super glad I stumbled across this forum cause I know I have a lot to learn from y’all!

Hello! Fellow newbie here. Sounds like you are doing fantastic
I, too, have been fighting T2 for 5-6 years. My yearly exam is scheduled in the coming month. I have been 20 carbs or less Keto for the past 3.5 months and see morning fasted glucose at 105-110. Afternoon fasted between 75-80. I hope to join you in ditching the Metformin soon!

Hi and welcome! I am almost 4 weeks in so still a newbie, and also a T2DM. I am seeing a steady decrease in my BS, which is very motivating to me and helps me stay on track. I am also reducing my Lantus, down 20 units/day so far and feeling great. I do have more energy most days, compared to how I felt pre-keto. So hopefully you can stick w/ it and see the results. This is NOT a lose weight quick diet plan; think of it as a lifestyle change instead. Best of luck!
