Hi just finished my first fast and could not finish my omelette felt too full, I feel dizzy. Is this normal? Otherwise, I exercised 2 times during fast and did drink water.

You were just entering the hard part of the fast.
Pour some more salt on your next meal, you may have lost minerals and electrolytes through your workouts.

Thank you, will do.

yup - salt, especially if you’re exercising during a fast

Thank you Madeleine.

A cup of broth, and you’ll be right as rain.

I’ve had the same problem. Dizziness was getting worse with each fast. Was also having trouble with blood pressure drop when standing. Broke a fast early last night, had a heap of salt and today the BP drop has been almost nonexistent. Going to have a good fatty, salty meal again tonight and get back to a 42 hr fast.

As others have mentioned. Day 3 is the worst day it gets better from there.
Your dizziness is bound to be from fluid losses.like sweat equity and peeing.
Add Himalayan salt& or rock salt. Electrolyte loss also so make sure you are adding magnesium potassium & chloride to your water. San Pellegrino mineral water helps me.
Well done you a 36+ hr fast is great.
Best wishes with the fasting!!!

Yep, I sprinkled salt on my tongue a couple times after someone suggested salt. I didn’t check my BP. I did 24 hours yesterday was going to fast tonight through Saturday, but I’m flying in between and thinking that’s not a great idea.

Thanks Denise. I’ll add mineral water too.

When you are fasting, a cup of broth will not go down amiss. You are experiencing hypovolemia, in other words, your blood volume is down, because of lack of salt. A stock cube dissolved in a cup of hot water, or better yet, homemade bone broth will help with this. You still need your electrolytes even while fasting. And keep drinking to thirst!
